South East Dermatology Stafford opened in July 2016 to provide a more readily accessible dermatology service for the northern suburbs. Dr Benjamin Carew is a specialist Dermatologist who works with two GPs with an interest in skin cancer ( Dr Paul Komarowski and Dr Craig Schmeider)
Our focus is to provide access to high quality Dermatology treatment. Dr Carew treats diseases of the skin including hair, nail and mucosal disorders.
Dr Benjamin Carew has completed extensive post graduate training and passed the rigorous examinations of the Australasian College of Dermatology. He has been a visiting Dermatologist at the tertiary hospitals in Brisbane and actively involved in training of Dermatology registrars and General Practitioners.
We understand that not all patients wish to see a Specialist for their skin cancer checks but would like reassurance that their skin cancer doctor is qualified to undertake their skin examinations. At South East Dermatology Stafford we offer GP skin cancer checks from GPs who are supported and trained by our Dermatologist Dr Carew. No referral is required to see our skin cancer doctors.
Treatment facilities include bulk billed UVB Phototherapy, CO2 laser treatments, IPL, Resurfx and vascular laser treatments, allergy patch testing, skin peels, treatment for excessive sweating and a range of options for cosmetic and rejuvenation.
Skin surgery for melanoma, skin cancer and other skin problems are performed on site in our dedicated operating suites. Dr Carew also operates at Montserrat Daysurgery at Gaythorne.
